The former chairman of the Chinese Super League Limited Liability Company, Liu Jun, was sentenced for bribery and accepting bribes as a non-state functionary in the first instance.

On July 30, the People's Court of Tongshan County, Hubei Province, publicly sentenced Liu Jun, former chairman of China Super League Limited Liability Company, for accepting bribes and non-state staff bribery. He was sentenced to ten years in prison and fined RMB 600,000 for corruption, and sentenced to two years in prison and fined RMB 500,000 for non-state staff bribery. The court decided to carry out the 11-year prison sentence and fine of RMB 1.1 million. The assets obtained from the bribery and interest by the defendant Liu Jun were confiscated according to law and turned over to the national treasury. The Tongshan County People's Court held a public trial for this case on April 14, 2025.
