On July 30, the People's Court of Songzi City, Hubei Province, publicly sentenced Wang Xiaoping, former director of the Discipline Committee of the Chinese Football Association, for bribery, sentenced the defendant Wang Xiaoping to ten years and six months in prison, and fined him 700,000 RMB. The ill-gotten gains and interest obtained by Wang Xiaoping through bribery were confiscated and turned over to the national treasury in accordance with the law. The People's Court of Songzi City held a public hearing for the case on April 16, 2025.
