Beijing will host the 2026 World Short Course Swimming Championships.

The International Swimming Federation (FINA) announced on the 29th that the 2026 World Short Course Swimming Championships will be held in Beijing. FINA said in a statement that after intense bidding competition and careful consideration by the FINA Executive Committee, Beijing has obtained the hosting rights for this event, with over 1,000 athletes from more than 200 countries and regions participating in the six-day competition. The statement said the competition will take place at the end of 2026.
