In the first half of this year, 5,581 new foreign-invested enterprises were established in Shenzhen.

According to the Shenzhen Investment Promotion Bureau, Shenzhen has maintained double-digit growth in the utilization of foreign investment this year. From January to June, the actual use of foreign investment in the city reached 20.9 billion yuan, an increase of 11.3% over the same period last year, accounting for 35.7% of Guangdong Province's total. There were 5,581 newly established foreign-invested enterprises, a year-on-year increase of 51.5%, accounting for 18.6% of the national total and ranking first among large and medium-sized cities in the country in terms of quantity.
