HSBC Holdings requires all of its directors and managing directors to work in the office at least 4 days a week starting from October. According to a memo cited in the report, the bank informed senior management that they should lead by example, as face-to-face interaction is crucial for guiding and serving customers. A spokesperson for the bank confirmed the contents of the memo. The memo also stated that working in the office mainly refers to working in the bank's offices or with clients, as well as visiting other stakeholders and attending meetings, off-site activities, or similar events.
