On July 27th local time, the 2025 Liberation Movement Summit hosted by the ruling party African National Congress (ANC) opened in Johannesburg. South African President and ANC President Ramaphosa attended and delivered a speech, emphasizing the need to promote unity and cooperation among African countries to address the current complex international and regional challenges. The ANC pointed out that African countries must take a firm stand at critical moments, promote fairness and justice, oppose external interference, and strive for greater autonomy. Participants called for Africa to enhance coordination and increase its own strategic capability.
