The first aviation pre-clearance cargo station in Shanghai is launched for trial operation in Songjiang Comprehensive Bonded Zone.
The first aviation pre-positioned cargo station in Shanghai, the Songjiang Comprehensive Bonded Zone Aviation Pre-Positioned Cargo Station, started trial operation on July 28. On that day, the first batch of cross-border e-commerce goods, with a declared value of about 16,000 US dollars and a total weight of 1.4 tons, completed the inspection and release procedures and were shipped from Songjiang Comprehensive Bonded Zone to Pudong International Airport for loading and departure. The Songjiang Comprehensive Bonded Zone Aviation Pre-Positioned Cargo Station moves the traditional airport inspection, security check, consolidation, and loading processes to the bonded zone, achieving a "one-stop direct loading and departure" for cross-border e-commerce goods, bonded goods within the bonded zone, and general goods outside the zone. It is estimated that the efficiency of goods clearance will increase by about 30% and logistics costs will decrease by 15% compared to traditional methods.
