Guangdong is expected to achieve 5.5 childcare spaces per 1,000 people by the end of this year.

The 20th meeting of the 14th Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial People's Congress was held in Guangzhou on the 28th, at which the committee heard a report from the Guangdong Provincial People's Government on the development of childcare services. The report showed that Guangdong Province is currently advancing the supply of childcare places as planned, and it is expected to achieve the target of 5.5 childcare places per 1,000 population by the end of this year. In the future, Guangdong will continue to promote the construction of childcare places, establish a universal childcare service system covering the entire province, and guide local areas to vigorously develop embedded community childcare services.
