The Tianjin Meteorological Observatory upgraded the blue rainstorm warning signal to a yellow warning signal at 19:25 on July 28: It is expected that in the next 24 hours, most areas of Tianjin will experience heavy to torrential rain, with localized areas receiving over 100 millimeters of rainfall. The maximum hourly rainfall will reach 50-80 millimeters; accompanied by thunder and lightning, and localized short-term gale force winds of 8-10. The heavy rainfall is mainly concentrated in the late night tonight to tomorrow morning. The intensity of the rainfall is high, and short-term heavy precipitation can easily cause urban waterlogging. There is a high risk of small and medium-sized rivers flooding, flash floods, and geological disasters in mountainous areas. Low-lying areas are prone to farmland waterlogging. Relevant units and individuals are advised to take precautions.
