Tianjin initiates citywide level three flood prevention emergency response.

According to the forecast of the Tianjin Meteorological Department, on the night of July 28th to the morning of the 29th, there will be heavy rain in Tianjin with the northern areas experiencing downpours. The average precipitation in the city will be 30-60 millimeters, with 50-80 millimeters in the northern areas and locally up to 100-200 millimeters. Beijing and Hebei Province, which are upstream of Tianjin, have both activated a level three flood prevention and response plan. After assessing the potential impact of the upstream water on Tianjin, the Tianjin Flood Control Office, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Tianjin Flood Control and Drought Relief Emergency Plan, has decided to upgrade the city's flood prevention and response level in Jizhou District from level four to level three starting at 7:30 pm on July 28, 2025.
