The reporter learned from the North China Air Traffic Control Bureau that according to the latest information from the North China Air Traffic Control Meteorological Center, there will be thunderstorms from 21:00 today to 9:00 tomorrow, with the period from 2:00 to 8:00 expected to be the strongest precipitation. This will pose a severe challenge to the operation of flights in Beijing. The North China Air Traffic Control Bureau has activated the thunderstorm protection procedures, and as of 17:57, they have ensured the operation of 924 flights at Capital Airport and 713 flights at Daxing Airport. It is understood that this extreme precipitation is a continuation of the previous continuous rainfall. Currently, the North China region has entered the main flood season of "seven down, eight up", with frequent thunderstorms. It is expected that this type of precipitation will continue until the early to mid-August.
