On July 28, a symposium of leading officials of national authorities in charge of industry and information technology was held in Beijing. The meeting emphasized the importance of doing well in the work of the second half of the year, and thoroughly implementing the decision-making arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, highlighting "strengthening the foundation, creating value, ensuring safety, and industry governance," and focusing on eight key areas of work. It deepened the application of digital technology empowerment, promoted the deep integration of information technology and industrialization, formulated implementation opinions on empowering new industrialization with data elements, and accelerated the development of high-quality policies for basic software and industrial software. Improve the Chinese open source system and build a national-level artificial intelligence open source community. Improve the pilot projects of new technology transformation in manufacturing industry cities and the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises in one hundred cities. Promote the "artificial intelligence + manufacturing" action to deepen and solidify, strengthen the base and focus on key scene applications. Deepen the application of industrial Internet in a hierarchical and classified manner, and nurture a group of industrial intelligence bodies.
