On July 28th, a symposium for leaders of the national industrial and information regulatory authorities was held in Beijing. The meeting emphasized the importance of carrying out the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the State Council in the second half of the year, focusing on strengthening the fundamentals, creating value, ensuring safety, and industry governance, and giving priority to eight aspects of work. There will be greater efforts to promote the integration of scientific and industrial innovation for the enhancement of industrial core competitiveness. Key efforts will be made to implement national science and technology major projects and key projects of the national key research and development program, strengthen the construction of scientific and technological innovation platforms, and promote the cultivation of technology-based enterprises. The action to promote the development and growth of new momentum in emerging industries will be initiated, and policies for the development of industries such as humanoid robots, the Internet of Things, and high-end instruments and meters will be improved. Service-oriented manufacturing innovation development policies and measures will be improved, industrial design development levels will be enhanced, industrial culture will be vigorously promoted, and deep integration of culture and industry will be promoted. The layout of the defense science and technology industry will be optimized.
