BYD Energy Storage will co-establish a joint laboratory for battery-powered ships safety research with CCS Wuhan.

On July 25, BYD Energy Storage and the Wuhan Regulations Research Institute of China Classification Society held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony in Pingshan, Shenzhen. According to the agreement, the two parties will jointly establish a Battery-Powered Ships Safety Research Joint Laboratory, focusing on research and safety testing certification of new types of battery power, innovation of battery power system technology, development of intelligent monitoring systems for shore-based charging of battery-powered ships, and industry technical standards development.
