Former Deputy Director Xiong Yu of the Population, Resources and Environment Committee of the Guizhou Provincial Political Consultative Conference was expelled from the party.
With the approval of the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee, the Guizhou Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision conducted a case investigation and review of Xiong Yu, former deputy director of the Population, Resources, and Environment Committee of the 11th Guizhou Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, for serious violations of discipline and laws.
After investigation, it was found that Xiong Yu had lost his ideals and beliefs, deviated from his original mission, resisted organizational inspections, violated organizational principles by failing to report personal matters as required, breached integrity boundaries by accepting gifts and money that could potentially influence the fair execution of official duties, and continued to engage in corruption after retirement. He used his public power as a means to seek private gain, engaged in corruption and bribery, and illegally accepted large sums of money.
Xiong Yu's actions seriously violated the Party's political discipline, organizational discipline, and integrity discipline, constituting serious violations of duty and suspected crimes of bribery. Furthermore, his behavior persisted after the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, with serious and harmful effects, warranting severe punishment. In accordance with relevant regulations such as the "Disciplinary Regulations of the Communist Party of China," the "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China," and the "Administrative Sanctions Law for Public Officials of the People's Republic of China," the Guizhou Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection reported to the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee and decided to expel Xiong Yu from the Party, cancel his entitlements, confiscate his illegal gains, and transfer his suspected criminal activities to the procuratorial authorities for prosecution, along with the relevant assets.
