The Economic and Information Commission of Shanghai Municipality released "Several Measures to Further Expand the Application of Artificial Intelligence in Shanghai" on the 28th. It proposes carrying out key technological innovations, supporting technical innovation in key frontier directions such as artificial intelligence basic theory, methods and tools, new generation general artificial intelligence, intelligent chips, embodied intelligence, intelligent software, brain-machine interfaces, intelligent computing systems, etc., giving up to 30% or up to 50 million yuan in support according to the approved total investment of the project. It also supports various types of innovation entities to participate in national major projects, strategic platforms, open competitions, and other tasks, apply for municipal supporting projects, and provide up to 50 million yuan in support. For key projects with strategic and public welfare significance, the maximum support can be up to 50% after approval by the municipal government.
