Argentine President Milay announced on the 26th that in order to boost the agricultural economy and encourage production growth, Argentina will permanently reduce export duties on products such as beef and soybeans. Milay made the announcement at the opening ceremony of the 137th International Livestock, Agriculture, and Industry Exhibition in Argentina on the 26th, stating that export duties on products such as beef, poultry, corn, sorghum, sunflower seeds, soybeans, and their by-products will be permanently reduced. Specifically, the tax rate for beef and poultry will be reduced from 6.75% to 5%, corn and sorghum from 12% to 9.5%, sunflower seeds from 7.5% to 5.5%, soybeans from 33% to 26%, and soybean by-products from 31% to 24.5%. Some Argentine economists point out that the revenue gap resulting from the abolition of export duties will be filled by increasing other taxes, and the overall agricultural output is expected to increase due to the tax cuts. Local media analysis suggests that this move signifies a new step for the Argentine government in gradually abolishing export taxes. However, it is currently difficult to accurately assess the specific impact of this policy on national fiscal revenue and agricultural output.
