On July 28th, at the briefing of the Inner Mongolia theme interview activity of the "Vibrancy China Research Tour", Hu Chengdong, Deputy Director of the Energy Department of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, stated that in recent years, Inner Mongolia has been based on its own resources and industrial characteristics, fully leveraging its comprehensive advantages of "scenic beauty above, coal below, and power grid in hand". It has promoted the transformation and upgrading of traditional energy industries, vigorously developed green energy, expanded and strengthened the important national energy base, and achieved rapid and high-quality development of the energy economy in Inner Mongolia. By 2024, it has achieved "15 national firsts", including total installed capacity of new energy, newly installed capacity, electricity generation, total installed capacity of electricity, newly installed capacity, electricity generation, electricity transmission, coal outbound volume, coal supply task volume, coal-to-gas production capacity, coal production, total installed capacity of new energy storage, total green energy trading volume, coal-to-gas production, green hydrogen production capacity, and in particular, the newly installed capacity of new energy exceeded 100 million kilowatts nationwide for the first time.
