On July 28, the "Sichuan Elevator Safety Regulations" were put forward for deliberation for the first time at the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Sichuan Provincial People's Congress. The draft regulations clearly stipulate that it is prohibited to carry electric bicycles, electric motorcycles, or their batteries into elevator cars. In addition, carrying dogs without taking safety measures such as tightening the leash, wearing a muzzle, or putting them in a dog bag or crate will also not be allowed. Furthermore, Sichuan will improve the emergency response service platform for elevator safety, and set up a special helpline number 96933. When the market supervision department receives a call for help at 96933, they should immediately notify the maintenance unit of the faulty elevator to carry out emergency rescue.
