Since July 25, many areas in Hebei Province, including Chengde, Baoding, and Zhangjiakou, have been heavily affected by torrential rain. In response to the serious impact of the rainstorm and flood disasters on Hebei Province, the National Committee for Disaster Reduction and Relief launched a national level four emergency response on July 28. In order to implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on flood control, disaster prevention, reduction, and relief work, in accordance with the "National Natural Disaster Relief Emergency Plan," the National Development and Reform Commission urgently arranged 50 million yuan from the central budget to support Hebei in post-disaster emergency recovery from the rainstorm and flood disasters. The funds will focus on the post-disaster emergency recovery construction of damaged roads, bridges, water conservancy levees, schools, hospitals, and other infrastructure and public service facilities in the disaster-affected areas, promoting the quick restoration of normal production and living order.
