The State Energy Administration held the second energy supervision work meeting for 2025 in Beijing. The meeting emphasized the need to strengthen monitoring and early warning of electricity supply and demand, reinforce energy supply and power service supervision, leverage market mechanisms to ensure stable and reliable power supply during peak summer periods. It also called for advancing the construction of provincial spot markets, promoting the implementation of the "1+6" basic rule system, standardizing market rules at all levels, and enhancing the efficient connection of market levels, trading varieties, trading timelines, and price mechanisms to ensure the preliminary completion of a unified national electricity market by the end of the year. It also stressed the importance of regulatory oversight in key areas such as coal, oil, gas, and coal-fired power generation, innovating regulatory approaches, reducing inspection frequency, ensuring prompt rectification, and promoting the smooth and orderly operation of the energy market.
