The passenger trains on the Beijing-Xiongan Intercity Railway affected by the flood are gradually returning to normal operation.
According to the China Railway Hohhot Bureau, due to the impact of the flood discharge from Xiyanghe Reservoir in Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province at noon today, the section between Xinghe North Station and Huai'an Station of the Beijing-Baotou passenger dedicated line, which took the initiative to avoid danger by implementing blockade measures, lifted the line blockade starting at 19:40. The railway department dynamically adjusted the train operation plan, and resumed the operation of 3 Beijing-bound high-speed trains and multiple-unit trains originating from Hohhot and Baotou on the same day, with the addition of 3 extra services.
