Some batches of Ma Liuji sour and spicy noodles are being recalled due to quality issues. Baijia A'Kuan released a statement in response, stating that there were deficiencies in the production process of the two batches, leading to contamination from bacteria.
On July 27, 2025, Sichuan Baijia Akuan Food Industry Co., Ltd. issued a statement stating that some batches of the 270g size of their contracted product Ma Liuj's sour and spicy noodles had quality issues. The affected batches were from June 16 and June 18, 2025, due to insufficient disinfection during the production process, which led to potential bacterial contamination and the appearance of white and moldy dough. Currently, all products of this size with quality risks have been taken off the shelves. The company is conducting a comprehensive recall of the problematic batches, and consumers who have purchased these products can contact the original seller for a refund or return, or register for handling through the official customer service of Baijia Akuan, with the company bearing the cost of returns and compensating as required.
Furthermore, Baijia Akuan stated that they have implemented comprehensive improvements to their production quality management, strengthened disinfection process control and quality monitoring, and will continue to ensure product safety to higher standards in the future. They also issued an apology to consumers and the Ma Liuj brand for the quality issues this time, and promised to fully protect consumers' rights and interests.
