The Beijing Municipal Sports Bureau Flood Control Headquarters issued an emergency notice today regarding the recent response to rainfall. All district sports bureaus, sports associations, direct units, city-level sports organizations, and relevant units: the Beijing Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow rainstorm warning signal at 9:40 on July 27, 2025. It is expected that from the afternoon of July 27 to the morning of July 28, the hourly rainfall in most areas of Beijing may reach over 30 millimeters, with some areas accumulating over 100 millimeters of rainfall. Secondary disasters such as mountain floods, debris flows, and landslides may occur in mountainous and hilly areas. Meanwhile, areas such as Yanqing, Huairou, and Miyun have a high risk of geological disasters. According to the "Beijing Flood Control Emergency Plan" and the requirements of the municipal flood control headquarters, all units are requested to actively carry out prevention and response work for this rainfall event. The specific notifications are as follows: 1. Strengthen management. All district sports bureaus, sports associations, and direct units should carefully review the situation of sports events during the rainfall period, communicate in a timely manner with local emergency and meteorological departments, closely monitor the rainfall situation, suspend organized outdoor sports activities and outdoor sports training, and timely carry out warning work for participants in organized activities such as mountain climbing, exploration, hiking, cycling, and water-related sports.
