On the evening of the 26th, heavy rainfall occurred in the Beijing's Miyun, Huairou, and Yanqing districts, causing local main national and provincial highways to experience slope collapses, roadbed damage, and bridge flooding. The Beijing Municipal Commission of Transport announced that as of 9 am on the 27th, control measures have been taken on 32 road sections, with 15 sections identified as experiencing water damage. Reporters learned that a major focus of current traffic rescue and disposal efforts is to ensure the smooth passage of roads involved in mass evacuation and emergency response efforts. Emergency personnel and machinery dispatched by the Miyun, Huairou, and Yanqing district highway bureaus are carrying out road inspections and emergency response work. Support forces from Pinggu and Shunyi districts have been deployed near the affected areas. Additionally, strict monitoring and control measures have been implemented for dangerous road sections in mountainous areas to prevent secondary disasters. In case of emergencies, roads will be immediately closed and the risks of travel reduced.
