China Pesticide Industry Association: Launching a Three-Year Action for the Pesticide Industry to Clean up and Rectify, Will Resist Low-Price Disorderly Competition Behavior.

The China Crop Protection Industry Association has issued a notice on launching the "rectification of the industry" action in the pesticide industry. According to the requirements of the 2024 Central Economic Work Conference on "comprehensively rectifying internal problems", it has been decided after research to carry out a three-year action of "rectification of the industry" in response to prominent issues such as hidden additives, illegal production, and disorderly competition in the current pesticide industry. Through the "rectification of the industry" action, it is expected that by the end of 2027, market order will significantly improve, internal competition in the industry will be effectively curbed, product quality will significantly improve, illegal production will be fundamentally curbed, and enterprises' compliance management awareness will significantly enhance. Among them, companies' low-priced disorderly competition behavior will be resisted. Strengthen self-discipline awareness, prohibit dumping at prices below cost, and disrupt the normal production and operation order. Encourage enterprises to innovate and improve market competitiveness through improving product quality, brand services, etc. For key products with serious internal competition, industry competition norms will be formulated to curb enterprises' malicious competition.
