In the first half of 2025, the GDP of Hainan province increased by 4.2% year on year.

According to the Hainan Provincial Bureau of Statistics, with the continuous release of macroeconomic policy effects and the accelerated development of new productive forces, since the second quarter, the growth rate of major economic indicators in the province has been under pressure, rebounding better than the first quarter, and the overall economic operation has shown a development trend of overall stability, progress, and improvement in quality and efficiency. In the first half of 2025, according to the unified calculation of regional gross domestic product, the province's GDP was 370.185 billion yuan, calculated at constant prices, an increase of 4.2% year-on-year. By industry, the value added of the primary industry was 83.199 billion yuan, an increase of 4.7%; the value added of the secondary industry was 63.834 billion yuan, an increase of 5.1%; and the value added of the tertiary industry was 223.152 billion yuan, an increase of 3.7%.
