In the first half of this year, China's automobile production and sales volume both exceeded 15 million vehicles for the first time, with strong growth in the production and sales of new energy vehicles, and double-digit growth in automobile exports. Industry insiders believe that the current automobile industry is accelerating the construction of a mutually beneficial and sustainable ecosystem for upstream and downstream enterprises, promoting the industry as a whole to move towards a new stage of high-quality development. The policy of replacing old vehicles with new ones continues to show results, driving a significant improvement in the domestic market demand. In the first half of the year, domestic automobile sales reached 12.57 million vehicles, an increase of 11.7% year-on-year. According to data from the Ministry of Commerce, as of May 31, this year, there were 4.12 million applications for subsidies for replacing old vehicles with new ones. "Looking ahead to the second half of the year, the 'two new' policies will continue to be implemented in an orderly manner, combined with the continuous enrichment of new product supplies from enterprises, which will stimulate continuous growth in automobile consumption," said Chen Shihua, deputy secretary-general of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.
