Kim Jong Un pays a visit to the China-North Korea Friendship Tower.
On the 27th, the Korean Central News Agency reported that Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the State Affairs Commission, paid respects at the China-North Korea Friendship Tower in Pyongyang on the 26th, commemorating the 72nd anniversary of the victory of the Korean Fatherland Liberation War. The report said that the North Korean side, in the name of Kim Jong Un, presented a wreath to the Friendship Tower. Kim Jong Un stated, "We will always remember the contributions and achievements of the Chinese People's Volunteer Army martyrs who are inscribed in the glorious history of the country's victory in the Korean Fatherland Liberation War." North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Son Gwon and Kim Song Nam, Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Worker's Party of Korea, were also present.
