In France, a race car drove off the track, resulting in the deaths of three spectators.
On the morning of July 26th, local time, at a local car rally in Ambert, a city in the Puy-de-Dme department in the Auvergne-Rhne-Alpes region of France, a car suddenly veered off the track, resulting in the deaths of 3 spectators. The Puy-de-Dme department government stated that the car that went off track caused two spectators to die on the spot, and another spectator was seriously injured and later died in the hospital. Additionally, many other people at the scene were shocked and also taken to the hospital. According to local channel of France's public radio, the driver of the car involved in the accident suffered minor injuries. After the accident, around 30 police officers and 30 firefighters were dispatched to the scene. The prosecutor's office in Clermont-Ferrand, the capital of Puy-de-Dme, stated that an investigation into the cause of the accident has been initiated.
