Over half a year, Germany has accelerated the repatriation of over 10,000 illegal residents.
Data released by German government departments shows that the number of deportations in Germany in the first half of this year exceeded 11,800, an increase of more than 2,000 compared to the same period last year. According to Agence France-Presse on the 25th, the Ministry of the Interior released the deportation data in response to a request from the Alternative for Germany party lawmaker Leif-Erik Holm. In the first half of last year, Germany deported about 9,500 people, and the total number of deportations exceeded 20,000 for the year, the highest in recent years.
