The G20 Development Ministerial Meeting will be held in South Africa in 2025.

On July 24-25, 2025, the G20 Development Ministers Meeting was held in Mpumalanga Province, South Africa. The meeting discussed topics such as strengthening social protection and combating illegal financial flows. Tang Wenhong, Assistant Minister of Commerce, attended the meeting. Tang Wenhong stated that currently, the world is experiencing rapid changes and challenges such as geopolitical conflicts and climate change are becoming increasingly severe. Unilateralism and power bullying are impacting international rules and the multilateral system, and progress in implementing the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda is lagging. China supports the G20 Development Ministers Meeting in reaffirming its commitment to the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, and hopes that G20 members will work closely together to help developing countries accelerate the achievement of sustainable development goals.
