In the first half of the year, the passenger traffic at Shenzhen Airport exceeded 32 million person-times and the cargo and mail volume reached nearly one million tons. Both passenger and cargo traffic have achieved record highs.

Since the start of the summer travel season, Shenzhen Airport has maintained high levels of flight and passenger traffic, demonstrating strong demand for air travel in Shenzhen and the trend towards international development. According to Shenzhen Airport, in the first half of this year, the passenger throughput reached 32.57 million, an increase of 10.9% year-on-year; the cargo and mail throughput reached 983,000 tons, an increase of 14.1% year-on-year; and the number of flight movements reached 221,000, an increase of approximately 7.2% year-on-year, all reaching new highs for the airport during the same period since its opening.
