He Yaqiong, director of the Consumer Goods Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, stated at a news conference on electric bicycle related standards policies held on July 24 that the revised mandatory national standard "Safety Technical Specifications for Electric Bicycles" will be officially implemented on September 1, 2025. The new national standard sets out specific requirements for the production, distribution, management, and service of electric bicycles.
