The third round of direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine has begun.

On the evening of July 23rd local time, around 8:35 PM, and around 1:35 AM Beijing time today, the third round of direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine began at the Ciragan Palace in Istanbul, Turkey. The negotiations were chaired by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu. In his opening speech, Cavusoglu stated that the purpose of this round of negotiations is to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict as soon as possible. After the opening remarks, the meeting immediately entered the closed-door phase.
