African stock market closing report | South African stock index rose more than 0.9%, and the Nigerian stock market set a new record high at closing.

On Wednesday, the South Africa FTSE/JSE Africa Top 40 Tradable Index closed up 0.95% at 92457.00 points, hitting a new closing record high after one trading day. The South African Rand is currently up 0.17% against the US Dollar, trading at 17.5294 Rand, continuously approaching the July 4th peak of 17.4872 Rand and the September 30th, 2024 peak of 17.0356 Rand. The Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index closed up 0.08%, continuing the trend of hitting new closing record highs since around July 7th, but the daily volatility is starting to converge. The Mauritius Stock Exchange SEMDEX Index closed up 0.44%, reaching a new high since June 6th. The Nairobi Stock Exchange All Share Index closed up 0.66%.
