The American electric vehicle manufacturer Lucid has formed a battery materials alliance called "MINAC" with several key mineral producers in the United States. The participating mining companies each have their own expertise: Alaska Energy Metals, based in Anchorage, Alaska, is developing a large nickel mining project; Power Metals America focuses on the Emily manganese mining project in Minnesota; Graphite One is constructing graphite production facilities in Ohio and northern Alaska; and RecycLiCo specializes in hydrometallurgical technology, processing ores and recovering lithium ion battery materials to extract battery-grade lithium, cobalt, nickel, and manganese.
