Kazakhstan plans to establish a national cargo airline, aiming to launch its first flights by early next year.

According to a statement from the office of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan on July 23, Kazakhstan plans to establish a national cargo airline to accelerate the development of a regional air hub. In regards to the formation of the national cargo airline, the Kazakh government plans to operate through the Samruk-Kazyna National Wealth Fund, initially leasing 3 aircraft and eventually expanding to 11. The goal is to launch the first cargo flights by early 2026.
