Public security agencies have investigated and dealt with a total of 156,000 cases of various infringements of intellectual property rights and the production and sale of counterfeit goods.

On July 23, the State Council Information Office held a series of thematic press conferences on "High-quality completion of the 14th Five-Year Plan". Li Jiantao, director of the Environmental Resources and Food and Drug Crime Investigation Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security, emphasized the need to strengthen the crackdown on intellectual property crimes and increase the efforts in criminal protection of intellectual property rights. Focusing on technological innovation, industrial development, cultural prosperity, and public safety, all types of infringement, counterfeiting, and crime activities are strictly cracked down on according to the law. Nationwide public security organs have investigated and handled a total of 156,000 cases involving infringement of intellectual property rights and the sale of counterfeit goods. The "Anxin" special operation is being carried out, adhering to the three principles of "prevention, crackdown, and service", to comprehensively strengthen criminal protection of trade secrets in key areas such as strategic emerging industries, future industries, and traditional advantageous industries. A total of 576 cases of infringement of trade secrets have been investigated and handled.
