Chengdu: In the first half of 2025, the scale of imports and exports reached a new high.

On July 23, the Chengdu Bureau of Commerce announced that according to feedback from Chengdu Customs, in the first half of this year, Chengdu achieved a total foreign trade import and export volume of 4274.7 billion yuan, an increase of 9.4% year-on-year, accounting for 82.3% of the total foreign trade volume in the province. The import and export volume in the first and second quarters increased each quarter, with historical highs for the import and export, exports, and imports in the first half of the year. The export product structure continued to optimize, with exports of "new three types" of green and low-carbon products reaching 82.6 billion yuan, an increase of 33.6%. In particular, exports of photovoltaic products and lithium-ion batteries increased by 185% and 204.8% respectively. Exports of machine tools, material technology, and medical equipment closely related to new productive forces increased by 29.6%, 103.5%, and 51.6% respectively.
