On July 22, Aniplex announced that their Japanese animated film "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train" had grossed 5.52 billion yen at the box office and had been seen by over 3.84 million people in the three days since its release on the 18th. Aniplex stated that this box office revenue exceeded the 4.62 billion yen earned by the previous film "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train" and set a new record for the highest three-day box office in Japan.
