Policy support drives the low altitude economy, ready to take off.

Recently, Li Chunlin, member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the National Development and Reform Commission, presided over a special meeting to study better coordination of development and security, promote high-quality development of low-altitude economy in a healthy and orderly manner according to local conditions. The meeting made it clear that great efforts should be made to prevent inefficient and repetitive construction or vicious competition in the low-altitude industry sector, regulate the development of low-altitude industrial parks, and rectify irrational construction behaviors. Low-altitude economy, as a new comprehensive economic form, has characteristics such as wide radiation coverage, long industrial chain, strong growth and driving force, and is a typical representative of new productive forces. Since 2024, "low-altitude economy" has been mentioned in the Government Work Report for two consecutive years, demonstrating its important position in the national strategic layout. According to a research report released by Guoyuan Securities, the current low-altitude economy is in a rising channel of "policy improvement - technology implementation - scene expansion", and is expected to become operational on a large scale in 2025. Guotai HT Securities pointed out that at present, the aviation technology sector is developing rapidly with achievements such as the UAE's $1 billion eVTOL order, Xpeng's $250 million Series B financing, and EHang's establishment of the "Tsinghua-EHang Low-Altitude Aerospace Technology Joint Research Institute" in collaboration with Tsinghua University, marking a significant acceleration in the industrialization process of the low-altitude economy.
