The German government is providing 104 million euros to Vulcan Energy Company for clean lithium production.

German startup Vulcan Energy announced on Tuesday that it has received 104 million euros in government funding from Germany for the production of clean lithium. The German government's aim with this is to increase the production of electric vehicles and reduce reliance on imported raw materials. Vulcan stated that this grant, jointly issued by the federal government, Rhineland-Palatinate, and Hesse, will be used to support the project of "building resilience in the German and European critical raw materials supply chain."
