The German government provides 104 million euros to Vulcan Energy for clean lithium production.

German startup company Vulcan Energy announced on Tuesday that it has received 104 million euros in funding from the German government for producing clean lithium. The German governments aim with this is to increase electric vehicle production and reduce reliance on imported raw materials. Vulcan stated that this grant, issued by the federal government, Rhineland-Palatinate, and Hesse, will be used to support a project aimed at "building resilience in the critical raw materials supply chain in Germany and Europe."
