The US Department of the Treasury has imposed sanctions on individuals and entities related to the Houthi armed group.

On July 22nd local time, the United States announced sanctions on an alleged oil smuggling and sanctions evasion network in Yemen and the UAE believed to be affiliated with the Houthi armed group. According to a statement from the U.S. Treasury Department, the targets of the sanctions include two individuals and five entities identified as key oil importers and money laundering networks connected to the Houthi armed group.
