Looking at the daily increase in cases, the number of cases is decreasing. Public information shows that Chikungunya fever is an acute infectious disease caused by the Chikungunya virus, mainly spread through the bite of Aedes mosquitoes. In Guangdong, it is mainly transmitted by Aedes albopictus mosquitoes. Currently, more than 100 countries worldwide have reported cases of this disease. Compared to the familiar Dengue fever, Chikungunya fever has a shorter incubation period and spreads faster, about two to three times faster than Dengue fever. Furthermore, although the symptoms of the two diseases are similar, both causing fever and rash, Dengue fever usually causes general muscle and joint pain, while Chikungunya fever causes noticeable pain in small joints, and some patients have longer duration of pain.
