Is the "DNA" of the Federal Reserve going to change? A deeper reform signal than changing the chairman
Changing the way the Federal Reserve operates or evaluating the economy may have a more lasting impact on policy and markets than dismissing the Fed chairman. The Securities News App learned that US Treasury Secretary Besant said on Monday that the Fed as an institution needs to undergo a comprehensive review and evaluate whether it operates successfully. Besant claimed that the Fed "creates panic on tariff issues" without significant signs of inflation, which is reason enough for a comprehensive review of the Fed's operations. He said, "What we need to do is review the entire institution of the Fed and whether they have successfully fulfilled their duties. There are a bunch of PhDs over there, and I don't even know what they are doing."
