The Chinese Consulate General in Songkhla stationed in Phuket confirmed to reporters that a Chinese citizen was killed on the 20th when a large tree blown down by strong winds hit them on Coral Island in Phuket, and another Chinese citizen drowned while swimming in the sea in Krabi. The embassy reminded Chinese citizens in Thailand to closely monitor the weather forecast, adjust their travel plans reasonably, try to avoid going out during heavy rain, be cautious of sudden disasters such as flash floods, stay away from mountainous areas, riversides, and low-lying dangerous areas, be cautious in participating in offshore activities, never go into the water or participate in sea activities in severe weather conditions, wear life-saving equipment throughout the water-related activities, be vigilant against offshore currents, and take care of elderly and minors in the party.
