In the first half of the year, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Tianjin municipality was 8706.60 billion yuan, calculated at constant prices, an increase of 5.3% compared to the same period last year. By sector, the value added of the primary industry was 86.17 billion yuan, an increase of 3.8%; the value added of the secondary industry was 2864.99 billion yuan, an increase of 4.6%; and the value added of the tertiary industry was 5755.44 billion yuan, an increase of 5.6%.
