Typhoon "Weipa", the sixth of the year, made landfall twice along the coast of Tai Shan City in Jiangmen and Hailing Island in Yangjiang on July 20, causing strong winds, heavy rain, and flooding in some cities and counties in Guangdong. In order to implement the work arrangements of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government on disaster prevention and relief, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Finance and the Provincial Emergency Management Department allocated 20 million yuan in provincial-level natural disaster relief funds on July 21 to support emergency rescue and relief efforts in disaster-stricken areas such as Zhanjiang, Jiangmen, Yangjiang, and Maoming, including the purchase and transportation of relief materials, investigation and remediation of secondary disaster risks, and restoring and rebuilding damaged houses, in order to minimize the impact of the disaster and ensure the safety of the affected population's lives and property.
